John, Jamie, Darrin, Dave Spivey, and Tony Oscar performed the first show of 2008 at Little Kings on Friday, Feburary 1st, playing from 9:00 until close. On March 21, Breathlanes again played at Little Kings, this time with John, Jamie, Dave Spivey, and Danny Cottar; Eddie Glikin and Paul Hammond sat in. Breathlanes played at the Athens Human Rights Festival on College Square in downtown Athens on Saturday, May 3rd. John, Jamie, and Darrin were joined by very special guest Walt Austin on piano. In addition, Breathlanes played at AthFest, performing at Little Kings on June 21 with John, Jamie, Dave Spivey and Danny Cottar. This was followed by a regular Little Kings show on July 11 with Darrin on bass. John, Jamie, and Darrin played the 40 Watt Club on July 19, then were back at Little Kings on Sept. 19, playing again as a trio.

2007 Began with John, Jamie, and Darrin appearing on the live radio show "It's Friday" on WUGA 91.7 FM Athens on February 23. The show festured an hour of live Breathlanes, and brief interviews. Following their radio appearance, Breathlanes played at Little Kings with an alternate lineup of players new to Breathlanes: Dave Spivey on keyboards, and Brent Hedrick on drums. The aformentioned are cousins (not unlike Jamie and Darrin!) who relocated to Athens from Baltimore, MD, and play in their own combo; Olympus Mans. John, Jamie, Darrin, and Dave Spivey performed at Farm 255 in Athens on March 16, and again at Little Kings on March 30 and May 11. They also played for the 29th Athens Human Rights Festival, outdoors on College Square in downtown Athens, on May 6. Danny Cottar sat in, and John followed their set by playing backing soundscapes for poet Coleman Barks. On July 6, John, Dave Spivey, Brent Hedrick, and Danny Cottar screedled at Little Kings. John, Jamie, and Darrin entertained on the outdoor stage at Farm 255 on July 14. John, Jamie, Dave Spivey, and Danny Cottar on bass played at Little Kings on August 24, and the same line-up, sans Spivey, played again on November 2. Meanwhile, John and Dave Spivey played for Unity Church services on August 26 and October 28.

2006 saw additional Breathlanes trio gigs at Aromas in Five Points, with John, Jamie, and Dave Domizi playing there on Monday, January 9, and John, Jamie, and Darrin Cook playing on Monday, May 22. John played solo backing soundscapes during Coleman Bark's poetry reading and talk at the Athens Human Rights Festival on May 7. John, Jamie, and Darrin
played at the Mercury Lounge on Friday, July 7, followed by a show at the Flicker Theater and Bar on Friday, July 14. Danny Cottar sat in on guitar at the Flicker show. John, Jamie, and Dave Domizi played at the Mercury Lounge on Tuesday, September 5, and John, Jamie, and Darrin played at Little Kings on Friday, October 6, and Friday, November 10. To end the year they played at the Mercury Lounge on Tuesday December 19, and performed an early New Year's show at Little Kings on Friday, December 29.

In 2005 Breathlanes performed instrumental sets at the Athens Human Rights Festival on April 24, with Dave Domizi on bass, Carlton Owens on drums, and AJ Adams on pedal steel; on November 20, for the Montessori Sunday Concert Series with Jamie DeRevere on drums; and on December 5, at Aromas in Five Points with Jamie DeRevere on drums and Dave Domizi on bass.

Performances in 2004 included a trio gig at the Georgia Theatre with Dave Domizi on bass and Seth Hendershot on drums, and an acoustic duo AthFest gig on the outdoor stage with Michael Wegner on guitar and mandolin.
